It's of great significance and urgency to quicken the coordinated opening-up of China's futures and spot markets, said Li Haichao, deputy general manager of China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX), on the 2018 Annual Conference of 21st Century International Finance and Economics Summit held on Wednesday.

The opening-up of futures market can provide security guarantee for China's capital market to participate in international competition. The coordinated opening-up of futures and spot markets will not only improve the quality of spot market, but also drive the institutionalization by internationalization in the futures market, noted Li.

China's futures market has been going on smoothly and accumulated abundant international experience, which has provided basic condition for further opening-up of futures market.

“Priority should be placed on providing efficient risk management tools for investors with foreign investors included, so as to steadily promote the opening-up of financial futures market.” Li stressed.
