DALIAN, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Iron ore futures were higher Thursday in early trading on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE).

The most active iron ore contract for September delivery gained 2.5 yuan (about 36 U.S. cents) to open at 721 yuan per tonne.

As the world's largest importer of iron ore, China opened the DCE iron ore futures to international investors in May 2018.
