The most active cotton contract for May 2020 delivery lost 100 yuan (about 14.37 U.S. dollars) to close at 12,325 yuan per tonne.
On Wednesday, the total trading volume for 6 listed cotton futures contracts on the ZCE was 297,076 lots with a turnover of 18.62 billion yuan.
