The most active gold contract for June delivery bounced up 4.96 yuan (about 71 U.S. cents) to close at 339.08 yuan a gram.
The total trading volume for seven listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 257,924 lots, with a turnover of about 88.1 billion yuan.
