Shanghai crude oil futures close higher

SHANGHAI, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed higher Thursday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.

The most active crude oil contract for June delivery was up 9.2 yuan (about 1.3 U.S. dollars) to close at 301.6 yuan a barrel.

The total trading volume for 14 listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 127,799 lots, with a turnover of about 38.81 billion yuan.

China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, in March 2018.
