Shanghai crude oil futures open lower

SHANGHAI, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures opened lower Tuesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.

The most active crude oil contract for April 2021 delivery was down 10.7 yuan (about 1.65 U.S. dollars) to open at 422.9 yuan a barrel.

China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investors, in March 2018.
