The most active crude oil contract for July 2021 delivery was down 0.4 yuan (about 6.25 U.S. cents) to close at 442.8 yuan a barrel.
The total trading volume for 12 listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 174,100 lots, with a turnover of about 77.74 billion yuan.
China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, in March 2018.
