The most active crude oil contract for May 2022 delivery was up 7.1 yuan (about 1.1 U.S. dollars) to close at 624.6 yuan a barrel.
The total trading volume for eight listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 240,427 lots, with a turnover of about 150.58 billion yuan.
China launched crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, in March 2018.
