Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices inched up on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery increased by 26 cents, or 0.36 percent, to settle at 73.2 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for October delivery added 18 cents, or 0.24 percent, to settle at 76.48 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
