Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery gained 1.78 dollars, or 2.42 percent, to settle at 75.19 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery increased 1.50 dollars, or 1.91 percent, to settle at 80.06 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
