48 Chinese enterprises raise 3.5 bln USD of capital globally via IPOs

A total of 48 Chinese enterprises raised 3.5 billion U.S. dollars via IPO at home and abroad in May, with the raised funds down 2.7 percent year on year, according to the statistics released by Zero2IPO Group on Tuesday.

Among 48 Chinese enterprises, 44 were listed on China's A-share market last month. In a breakdown, 20 were listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

6 were listed on the SME board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. 18 were listed on the ChiNext board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. 2 enterprises were listed on foreign stock markets and 2 were listed on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited in May. Viewing from industries, machine manufacturing, biotechnology and IT ranked the top three in terms of the IPO enterprise number, which were 11, 8, 7 respectively.
