Chinese shares open higher on Fri.

China's stock markets in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened sharply higher on Friday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 1.39 percent higher at 5,016.09.

The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.38 percent higher at 3,065.45. The SME Price Index for small firms was up 1.03 percent to open at 11,799.68 and the ChiNext Index opened 1.29 percent higher at 3,994.44. The majority of stocks opened higher on Friday, of which stocks of telecom operation, securities brokerage, environmental protection, mineral products, electric power, medical care, machinery and bank sectors led the gainers.
