Major shareholders of companies listed on China's Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses added shareholdings in 857 stocks in July with the net value of overweighted shares standing at 33.6 billion yuan, according to statistics released by financial data provider Wind.
Major shareholders slashed a net of 110.4 billion yuan worth of A share positions in June.
By listing board, more stocks listed on the main boards of Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses were overweighted as compared with those listed on the SME Board or ChiNext Board in July.
By sector, financial and property stocks were mostly favored the major shareholders in July. Stocks in chemical, machinery, electric equipment, pharmaceutical, computer and electronics sectors were also welcome by these shareholders.
