A total of 265,400 investors had opened A-share accounts last week (from August 1 to August 7), down 22.05 percent week on week, hitting a record low, according to the latest data released by the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (SD&C).
During the week, 23.38 million investors participated in trading on China's A-share market, down 20 percent week on week.
