China's stock indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened higher on Tuesday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.15 percent higher at 3,161.32.
The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.31 percent higher at 1,744.03. The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.48 percent to open at 6,898.57 and the ChiNext Index opened 0.16 percent higher at 2,082.34.
Stocks of medical treatment, aviation devices, chemical fiber, telecom equipment, tourism, shipbuilding, petroleum, medicines, and internet sectors led the gainers at Tuesday's opening, while, the leading losers were in transport equipment, home appliances, telecom operation, hotels, electricity grid, building materials, and mineral products sectors.
