Margin financing trade active on 1st trading day after holiday

Margin financing trade on China's Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses turned active amid strong market rebound on Thursday, the first trading day after China's National Day holiday, Shanghai Securities News reported on Friday.

Balance of margin financing business on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses reached 573.4 billion yuan and 346.1 billion yuan respectively by October 8, indicating a net capital inflow of 7.7 billion yuan and 8.2 billion yuan, respectively on the day.

The intraday buy-in transactions in the margin financing business on the two bourses doubled as compared with the previous trading day.

Financial stocks, especially Pudong Development Bank (600000.SH) and CITIC Securities (600036.SH), took the lead by net capital inflows on Thursday.
