China's stock indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened tad lower on Tuesday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.78 percent lower at 3,262.16. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.75 percent lower at 1,873.20.
The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.70 percent to open at 7,375.94, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.81 percent lower at 2,297.93.
The majority of stocks telecom operation, public transport, petroleum, securities brokerage, medical care, machinery, media, nonferrous metals, aviation and coal sectors led the losers while those in logistics and papermaking sectors led the gainers.
