China's stock indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened tad lower on Thursday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.23 percent lower at 3,255.03.
The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.46 percent lower at 1,875.44. The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.3 percent to open at 7,377.53, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.19 percent lower at 2,300.6. Stocks of aviation, mineral products, insurance and Internet sectors led the gainers at the opening while those in logistics, medical care, computer, machinery and transport sectors led the losers.
