China's stock indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened tad higher on Friday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.61 percent higher at 3,358.30. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.66 percent higher at 1,954.14.The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.6 percent to open at 7,674.29, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.84 percent higher at 2,424.62.
The majority stocks opened higher on Friday except for hotel and logistics stocks. Stocks of mineral products, aviation, automobile, Internet, tourism, securities brokerage and petroleum sectors led the gainers at the opening.
