Stock indices tracking China's Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened tad higher on Tuesday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.16 percent higher at 3,330.32.
The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.27 percent higher at 1,993.31.
The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.4 percent to open at 7,677.61, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.49 percent higher at 2,444.05.
Stocks of agricultural, logistics, internet, hotel, machinery, telecom operation, insurance, nonferrous metals and aviation sectors led the gainers at the opening while those in mineral products, transport facilities, papermaking and bank sectors led the losers.
