China's stock indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen opened lower on Monday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.04 percent lower at 3,588.50.
The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.45 percent lower at 2,142.74, The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.45 percent to open at 8,227.92, and the ChiNext Index opened 0.30 percent lower at 2,653.31. Stocks of logistics, shipbuilding, aviation devices, nonferrous metals, medical treatment, transport equipment, coal, steel, agriculture, and automobiles sectors led the losers at Monday's opening, while, the leading gainers were in securities dealers, banking, natural gas, media and entertainment, public transport, mineral products, and food and beverage sectors.
