Stock indices tracking Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened tad lower on Tuesday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.21 percent lower at 3,602.89.
The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.11 percent lower at 2,266.14. The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.12 percent to open at 8,522.16 and the ChiNext Index opened 0.10 percent lower at 2,767.72.
Stocks of logistics, textile, machinery, petroleum, property and tourism sectors led the gainers at the opening while those in hotel, insurance, securities brokerage, environmental protection, public transport, medical care and aviation sectors led the losers.
