China granted 140 billion yuan of investment quota under its RMB Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (RQFII) program in the past 24 days, the Securities Daily reported on Tuesday.
By now, China has given RQFII licenses to 14 nations and regions with the total investment quota hitting 1.11 trillion yuan. China introduced the RQFII program in 2011 to allow overseas financial institutions to invest in the domestic securities market with approved RMB quota.
