The Shanghai Stock Exchange and the China Securities Index Co., Ltd have respectively announced that they would make periodical adjustments to the constituent stocks of some indices tracking Shanghai- and Shenzhen-listed stocks, effective on December 14.
The adjustments would cover SSE 180 Index, SSE 50 Index, SSE 380, Hushen 300 Index, CSI 100 Index, CSI 500 Index, and CSI (Hong Kong) 100 Index. After the adjustment, the SSE 180 Index and the SSE 50 Index will represent 64 percent and 44 percent of the total capitalization of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, respectively, while the Hushen 300 Index and the CSI 100 Index will respectively make up 50 percent and 35 percent of the total capitalization of the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses.
