The balance of margin financing business on China's Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges stood at 1.186 trillion yuan by Monday this week, down 21.2 billion yuan as compared with that on the previous day, according to statistics released by the two bourses on Tuesday.
This was the second straight day for a decline of the balance. The margin financing balance on Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses reached 690.84 billion yuan and 495.64 billion yuan on Monday, down 12.07 billion yuan and 9.14 billion yuan from the previous trading day, respectively.
