BEIJING, Feb.4 (Xinhua Finance) -- Share prices on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened higher on Wednesday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.25 percent higher at 3,212.82. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.22 percent higher at 1,536.65. The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.29 percent to open at 6,208.46 and the ChiNext Index opened 0.16 percent higher at 1,753.77.
Stocks of logistics, transport equipment, petroleum, internet, media and entertainment, coal, environmental protection, and nonferrous metal sectors led the gainers at Wednesday's opening, while the leading losers were in public transport, insurance, agriculture, banking, tourism, securities dealers, hotels, and mineral products sectors.
