Share prices on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened higher on Tuesday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.10 percent higher at 4,125.78. The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.11 percent higher at 2,190.23.
The SME Price Index for small firms was up 0.16 percent to open at 8,728.75 and the ChiNext Index opened 0.26 percent higher at 2,584.59. Stocks of medical treatment, transport equipment, mineral products, environmental protection, liquor-making, chemical fiber, medicines, and engineering machinery sectors led the gainers at Tuesday's opening, while the leading losers were in telecom operation, aviation devices, logistics, insurance, property, securities dealers, and nonferrous metals sectors.
