A total of 7.95 million new accounts for trading on China's A- and B-share markets were opened in the first quarter of 2015, a surge of 433 percent year on year, Deng Ge, spokesman with China Securities Regulatory Commission said on Friday afternoon.
Deng said investors held optimistic outlook towards China's A-share market recently and 62 percent of the new investors were born after 1980.
