A total of 321 monitored stock index funds in China witnessed an average yield of 39.6 percent this year till April 30 thanks to significant bull run on Chinese stock market, according to statistics from China Securities Journal-run investment website www.jnlc.com.
The yield was higher than the returns of hybrid funds but slightly lower than a yield of 51.92 percent for stock-oriented funds.
Stock index funds tracking ChiNext, military, energy and nonferrous metals sector indexes outperformed while those tracking pharmaceutical, financial and property sector indexes underperformed in the first four months of 2015.
