Share prices on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses opened mixed on Wednesday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.03 percent higher at 4,402.38.
The Shenzhen Composite Index opened 0.46 percent lower at 2,414.73. The SME Price Index for small firms was down 0.52 percent to open at 9,547.21 and the ChiNext Index opened 2 percent lower at 3,185.34.
Stocks of banking, aviation devices, chemical fiber, public transport, agriculture, and and engineering machinery sectors led the gainers at Wednesday's opening, while, the leading losers were in software services, medical treatment, internet, environmental protection, logistics, shipbuilding, tourism, and securities dealers sectors.
