Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.65 percent, at 3,269.88 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.01 percent lower at 11,051.12 points.
The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lost 1.48 percent to close at 1,821.32 points Friday.
The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen ComponentIndex and the Shenzhen SME (small and medium-sized enterprises) Board Index, are major indices reflecting the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
The ChiNext Board, which started trading on Oct. 30, 2009, mainly lists hi-tech companies and those with high growth potential.
