U.S.-listed Chinese companies traded mostly lower on Thursday, with nine of the top 10 stocks by weight in the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index ending the day on a downbeat note.
Shares of TAL Education and Alibaba decreased 12.08 percent and 1.92 percent respectively, leading the laggards of the top 10 stocks.
Shares of Yum China rose 10.80 percent at the closing, the only gainer among the top 10.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 112.97 points, or 0.44 percent, to 25,527.07. The S&P 500 fell 8.63 points, or 0.30 percent, to 2,837.44. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 80.05 points, or 1.01 percent, to 7,852.19.
As of Wednesday, the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index stood at 3,294.05, marking a 2.95-percent increase for the month-to-date returns and a 6.57-percent gain for the year-to-date returns.
