​U.S.-listed Chinese firms trade mostly lower

U.S.-listed Chinese companies traded mostly lower on Wednesday with nine of the top 10 stocks by weight in the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index ending the day on a downbeat note.

Shares of SINA and BeiGene erased 7.02 percent and 4.39 percent respectively, leading the laggards in the top 10 stocks.

Shares of Yum China remained unchanged on Wednesday at the closing.

U.S. stocks closed mixed on Wednesday as investors monitored the latest development of U.S.-China trade tensions.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 45.16 points, or 0.18 percent, to 25,583.75. The S&P 500 erased 0.075 point, or 0.03 percent, to 2,857.70. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased 4.66 points, or 0.06 percent, to 7,888.33.

As of Tuesday, the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index stood at 3,097.36, marking a 1.77-percent decrease for the month-to-date returns and a 0.21-percent gain for the year-to-date returns.
