U.S.-listed Chinese companies traded mostly lower on Tuesday with the top 10 stocks by weight in the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index ending the day on a downbeat note.
Shares of New Oriental and TAL Education Group lost 16.06 percent and 5.13 percent, respectively, the biggest laggards in the top 10 stocks of the index.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 125.98 points, or 0.50 percent, to 25,191.43. The S&P 500 decreased 15.19 points, or 0.55 percent, to 2,740.69. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 31.09 points, or 0.42 percent, to 7,437.54.
As of Monday, the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index stood at 2,401.84, marking a 13.65-percent decrease for the month-to-date returns and a 22.30-percent loss for the year-to-date returns.
