Chinese stocks opened mixed Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.1 percent to open at 2,681.9 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.15 percent lower at 8,050.55 points.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, opened 0.3 percent lower at 1,399 points Monday.
The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and the Shenzhen SME (small and medium-sized enterprises) Board Index, are major indices reflecting the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Hong Kong stocks gained 95.34 points, or 0.36 percent, to open at 26,278.87 points on Monday.
