​U.S.-listed Chinese firms trade mixed

U.S.-listed Chinese companies traded mixed on Monday with five of the top 10 stocks by weight in the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index ending the day on an upbeat note.

Shares of BeiGene and Yum China gained 1.64 percent and 0.56 percent respectively, leading the advancers in the top 10 stocks.

Shares of New Oriental and TAL Education shed 2.21 percent and 2.19 percent respectively, the top laggards in the top 10.

U.S. stocks closed lower on Monday as investors digested weak earnings of some big public companies.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 208.98 points, or 0.84 percent, to 24,528.22. The S&P 500 fell 20.91 points, or 0.78 percent, to 2,643.85. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 79.18 points, or 1.11 percent, to 7,085.69.

As of Friday, the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index stood at 2,523.25, marking a 10.12-percent increase for both the month-to-date and the year-to-date returns.
