S.Korean stocks end lower

SEOUL, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- South Korean stocks ended lower Tuesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dived 68.68 points, or 2.14 percent, to settle at 3,140.31. Trading volume stood at 859.8 million shares worth 21.6 trillion won (19.5 billion U.S. dollars).

The local currency finished at 1,106.5 won versus the greenback, down 5.8 won from the previous close.
