S.Korean stocks end higher

SEOUL, March 3 (Xinhua) -- South Korean stocks ended higher Wednesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 39.12 points, or 1.29 percent, to settle at 3,082.99. Trading volume stood at 2.2 billion shares worth 13.9 trillion won (12.3 billion U.S. dollars).

The local currency finished at 1,120.3 won versus the greenback, up 3.7 won from the previous close.
