S. Korean stocks end lower

SEOUL, March 17 (Xinhua) -- South Korean stocks ended lower on Wednesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) slipped 19.67 points, or 0.64 percent, to settle at 3,047.50. Trading volume stood at 802.6 million shares worth 13.2 trillion won (11.7 billion U.S. dollars).

The local currency finished at 1,130.2 won versus the greenback, down 0.5 won from the previous close.
