China is going to set up ship air pollutants emission control areas in five years, according to a special action plan for ship and port pollution control in 2015-2020 released by the Ministry of Transport on Monday.
The plan also put forward further promoting ship structural adjustment, launching special port pollution treatment, and encouraging use of LNG and docked ships to use shore power.

To support ship pollution control, China will also carry out a bunch of regulations and rules covering specific sectors before 2020, such as inland waters pollution control and waterways dangerous good transport.
