The Standardization Administration of China (SAC) on Tuesday released 35 national standards involving health and security, tourism consumption, ecological environment and other sectors.

Among them, the standards for household plugs and sockets raised new requirements for the patch board protection door, cable conductor sectional area, and fire-resistant and flame retardation functions so as to effectively enhance security of the sockets with extended lines and better protect personal and property safety of consumers.

In terms of serving the national "Belt and Road" initiative, SAC also vigorously advanced construction of standards for high-speed rail technologies, said the Administration. SAC came up with the technical standards of evaluating functions of window glass of high-speed trains.
