Some ministries led by the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) are drafting enforcement regulations that suit China's new Food Safety Law, Beijing Times quoted CFDA vice-minister Teng Jiacai to report on Monday.
China's new Food Safety Law was implemented on October 1 to address the country's growing food safety concerns. Analysts from Zhongtai Securities said that the law strengthened governance on health foods and infant formula food, and enterprises backed with quality products and brand reputation can benefit from the new policy environment to see larger market shares. The securities company said stocks of dietary supplement industry deserve close watch for investment opportunities.
Food security monitoring industry might also boom with anticipated growing policy support from the government, which relevant market size reaching tens of billion yuan. Among A-share listed companies, Center Testing International Co., Ltd (300012.SZ) and ThuniSoft Co., Ltd (300271.SZ) are likely to benefit.
