Six consumer sectors in China have great developing potentials, according to an article written by Xu Shaoshi, director of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and published by the People's Daily on Tuesday.
These six sectors include service consumption like education, health, culture, elderly care and tourism; information consumption; green consumption led by ecological and environmental ideas; fashion consumption adapting to the different groups; quality consumption relating to higher living standards; rural consumption.
Xu stressed to would speed up system innovations in key sectors, promote opening-up in such fields as education, medical care, culture and elderly care, and set up quality and safety traceability system in foods and medicines, children products and daily necessities.
