Chinese ministries led by the Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR) recently released a policy to support land use of the tourism industry.

Earlier, in September, the ministries rolled out a series of favorable policies to support land use of new industries. In order to support and cultivate development of new industries, the MLR has worked with other ministries to roll out a series of favorable policies to support land use of new industries.

In particular, for small and medium-sized start-ups, those policies can help them resolve difficulties in getting land, said Dou Jingli, an official of the MLR. As for development zones and industrial agglomeration with single production function, on the premise of meeting the urban and rural planning, construction land will be available properly for commodity retailing, accommodation, catering, commercial finance and urban houses so as to promote transformation of the relevant zones from single production function to comprehensive functions, Dou added.

The authorities will enhance guarantee of new land supply, vitalize existing land resources, guide agglomeration development of new industries, and improve supervision on land use of new industries to release policy bonus for new industries in land use.

As for areas where new industries develop fast with intensive land use and demands, the quota of annual newly-added construction land supply will be increased appropriately, according to the earlier policies.

Differentiated policies will be taken to support development of new industries. For example, the policy of land supply through setting up public areas will be taken for charging facilities for new energy vehicles and mobile communication base stations.
