The Report on the Work of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) was released in full via Xinhua News Agency on Saturday.
Delivered by top legislator Zhang Dejiang at the Fourth Session of the 12th National People's Congress on March 9, 2016, and adopted on March 16, the report reviewed the NPC Standing Committee's work in 2015, including strengthened efforts to oversee the enforcement of the Constitution, supporting the comprehensive deepening of reform and intensified inspection to ensure compliance with laws.
The report also raised a series of goals for this year, including improving legislative work, exercising law-based oversight, giving full play to the role of NPC deputies and progress in foreign relations and theoretical research.
