Five foreign trade policies will take effect in September, which will inject boosts into China's import and export enterprises.

The five preferential policies include categorized administrative measures for tax rebate (exemption), expansion of domestic selective tariff pilots, change of account book filling measures for authorized processing trade, cancellation of processing trade agreement review and integration of national tariff imposition.

The categorized administrative measures for tax rebate (exemption), which have become effective since September 1, will conduct differentiated management measures on export enterprises.

The new measures have classified export rebate (exemption) enterprises into four categories according to their tax payment grade, net assets and so on.

An expert noted that the move aims to make more enterprises enjoy the convenience and efficiency of tax rebate policy.

Moreover, China will expand the current domestic selective tariff pilots to other customs special supervision areas (with the exception of bonded zones, bonded logistics parks) in Tianjin, Shanghai, Fujian and Guangdong, as well as Zhengzhou Xinzheng Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Wuhan export processing zone, Chongqing Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Chengdu High-tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Shaanxi Xi'an export processing zone.

"In the next stage, the Ministry of Commerce will work with local departments to carry out these policies," said Zhang Ji, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
