Supply-side structural reform should be deepened to promote stable and sound economic development, said China's senior political advisors.

The statement was issued after the close of the 21st meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee Wednesday, which was presided over by chairman of the CPPCC National Committee Yu Zhengsheng.

Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli attended the opening session of the meeting. Attendees at the meeting voiced opinions on supply-side structural reform, saying that the government should not intervene business but should recognize its responsibilities at the same time.

They also said that the country should value entrepreneurs and create a favorable environment for them.

The meeting announced appointment and removal of several officials. Li Jianhua, Yang Xiaobo, Shu Qiming were selected as members of the 12th CPPCC National Committee. Zhang Qiujian and Lin Zhimin will no longer perform as vice secretary-generals of the committee.
