Cambodia and India on Wednesday vowed to boost bilateral relations in trade, investment and tourism for mutual benefits, a Cambodian senior official said.
The joint commitment was made during a meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and visiting Indian Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh, according to Eang Sophalleth, an aide to the prime minister.
The vice president also promised to encourage Indian investors to venture into mining, oil and gas, agro-industry, and information and communication technology in Cambodia.
Hun Sen called on India to consider operating direct flights to Cambodia.
