Romanian Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos on Tuesday said Romania wants Britain to remain in the EU, stressing this would be beneficial for all parties.
"We want Britain to remain in the European Union, which is something in the interest of both Britain as well as the European Union," Ciolos told members of the joint parliamentary committees for European affairs.
According to Ciolos, Britain would make some proposals in the European Council to be held next week in Brussels for "reforming or adapting the functioning way of the European Union," in the context of London preparing a referendum on remaining or leaving the EU.
British Prime Minister David Cameron will visit Romania on Wednesday. In his first visit to this Eastern European country, he will meet with Ciolos and President Klaus Iohannis.
