Indonesia's consumer price index is forecast to accelerate at a slower pace in February from a month earlier as risks of rising administrated prices ease, a senior official of statistic bureau said here on Tuesday.
This month's inflation was estimated to be 0.97 percent lower than that of last month on monthly basis, said Sasmito Hadi Wibowo, deputy for statistic distribution and services of the national statistic bureau.
Rising of several administrated prices were attributed the most to the acceleration of inflation in January, according to the bureau.
"In February, most of the impacts of the government policies on inflation has eased," the deputy said.
Indonesia's annual inflation picked up to 3.49 percent in January from 3.02 percent in December, which was mainly contributed by rising administrated prices, such as costs of vehicle document, electricity tariff of 900 volt ampere, fuel prices and cigarette, the bureau said.
Indonesia's inflation was forecast to accelerate at a faster pace of 3 to 5 percent this month from 3.02 percent last year, according to the central bank.
